4. Optimise the site

We then need to implement all of the above. Assuming the groundwork has been properly carried out then it should be a straightforward process.

 

Once the optimisation is carried out then we conduct the same analysis as in Step 3 to make sure that the site now contains all the elements we want to see.

 

5. Create a Sitemap

Once a site is finished it is a good idea to create sitemaps. These can be included on the site itsdelf to help browsers and viewers find their way easily around a site (especially if it's complicated)

 

in particular we create xml versions that can then be submitted to search engines to ensure that they are

1. informed about your site's existence and the fact that content has changed
2. able to ensure that all pages are properly indexed so that all the hard word of optimising every page isn't wasted

6. Submit to Search Engines

Then we send details of the new and improved site in to every major search engine so that it is included in future bot sweeps.
